Tavistock Swimming Club entered two teams in the Tavistock Town Running Relays. This was a new initiative by head coach James Lake, who himself competed in one of the teams, encouraging general fitness beyond the swimming pool. The girls' team produced good runs to come home third in their age group and 21st overall, while the men's team of coaches — James Lake and Nathaniel Rookes and club captains Kieran Rookes and James Anderson — ran superbly to achieve 13th in their age group and 19th overall of the 79 teams that were competing. Head coach James was pleased with the results produced by the swimming club teams in the competition with the many running clubs.
