HOPE24 is a special event for many reasons. Located in Plympton on a private estate, the event provides a friendly atmosphere for runners to get together and challenge themselves to achieve their own targets.

Based on a five-mile trail course in this stunning estate, the event is open to solo runners or teams of two to eight, over a 24 hour period.

Hope24 was celebrating its fifth birthday this year and each year this event gets bigger and bigger and even though the teams were down on numbers more and more chosen to do it solo.

Tavistock Athletic Club’s Jason Shipton and Paul Marshall took on the challenge once again it was the first time for Adam Holland. Jason has ran this event for the last five years while Paul has been taking part in it for last couple of years – both only got to 65 miles but this year they both went to go more, Paul finished Hope 24 with 75 miles and Jason Shipton 85 miles and Adam had competed 105 miles was told he was second and found out the first place finisher had finished so Adam went around again to win it with 110 miles under belt.
