ANOTHER defeat, this time to Devonport Services, leaves Tavistock RFC rooted firmly on the bottom of this season's league table.

The first try of the game in this muddy encounter came from Services' player coach Jamie Shone who ran in from the half way line to touch down. Shortly after the away side elected for a scrum rather than a penalty following a Tavistock infringement and from this it was Shone again who broke away to score. The same player slotted the conversion.

The home side came back just before the interval when winger Luke Northmore crossed the line; his try was converted by Richard Goldsby-West. The only other score of the game came in the second half when Devonport's Brian N'Cube scrambled over following a penalty.
