TAVISTOCK travelled to Bodmin for their second game of the weekend eager to win and be crowned league champions for successive seasons.
Tavistock took control from the outset and raced into a 2-0 lead, both goals coming from the reverse stick of Si Fenwick with right back Rory Carr claiming the assists for both goals.
The visitors played a disciplined game, maintaining possession and looking to create good scoring opportunities.
Sam Willettts stepped in at left back and was proving to be an attacking threat from deep; centre backs Stanbury and Berry dealt with all the Bodmin threats.
Carr claimed his third assist of the game when he unselfishly set up his brother Bob to make it 3-0 - after being denied by a post from scoring a fine solo goal earlier on in the game.
Bodmin scored a penalty corner in the second half which did not take away from the impressive performance of 13 year-old Emlym Oxenham in goal.
Barny Megicks scored the fourth goal for Tavistock with a clever reverse stick finish. The win secured the league title for Tavistiock who still have four games to play.
The Reds will look to keep their winning form going with the new objective of trying to all 22 league games this season.
Player coach Si Fenwick was extremely happy to have secured the league title.
He said: ‘am sure with the effort and commitment the lads have shown this season they are all desperate to keep going and remain unbeaten.’

TAVISTOCK looked to bounce from the disappointment of their England Hockey Vase exit to Wootton Bassett with the plan to beat OPMs and secure promotion.
The visitors, despite being hit with injury and unavailability, put in a strong performance but were not able to deal with the constant attacking threat of the Reds.
The first goal was scored by skipper Tom Honey who found himself unmarked in the D before unleashing an unstoppable shot past the keeper. Forward Will Jones doubled the lead when he ghosted in at the back post to finish off another incisive Tavistock attack.
The home side scored and went in 3-0 up at half time when a slick penalty corner was put away by Sam Willetts.
The second half followed a similar pattern with the home side enjoying the majority of the possession.
The visitors’ keeper made a number of impressive saves and the main attacking threat for OPMs came from Horton and the hard working West in midfield.
Tavistock forward Si Fenwick scored twice in quick succession; his first was made thanks to a clever run from forward Bob Carr and the second following a fine solo run from Dave Langton.
The best was certainly saved until last when Mark Forshaw scored an incredible solo goal in the roof of the net from a right angle.
