MORE than 100 members of Tavistock Golf Club attended dementia awareness sessions conducted by Tony Parker of Tavistock Dementia Action Alliance. 

Club captain John Harding said that members had told him that they found the sessions interesting and enlightening and certainly increased their awareness and understanding of dementia. 

'The club is the first golf club in Great Britain and Ireland to achieve the status of 'dementia friendly' he said 'and we are delighted to receive the official Recognition Award.'
