TAVISTOCK ran riot in a show of strength by the experienced Tavistock girls. Lizzie Crocker was always in the right place to score, notching up six tries and providing several major assists.

Hannah Morris with two tries and Kim Upcott also scored two. Fen Easthaugh contributed a try and three conversions with a tricky wind blowing.

The start was peppered with handling errors, which reduced the scoring in the first half. However, come the second half and the offloading and direct running of Lizzie Crocker could not be handled by the inexperienced Vixens.

Time after time Fen Easthaugh or Kim Upcott burst through the line to be followed closely by Lizzie Crocker who brilliantly anticipated the outcome of the tackle and was directly on hand to take the popped pass. On three occasions, she shrugged off a Bideford tackle and then outpaced the defence to the line. On two other occasions she merely was on the shoulder of the ball carrier, ready to plunder an additional try.

From a clearance in defence Lizzie outpaced the tiring Bideford team to score under the posts.

Lily Hillson at scrum half played an intelligent game, giving Fen Easthaugh and Kim Upcott ample opportunity to make ground and put Tavistock into scoring positions.
