Tavistock/Newquay U18s girls 37

AGAINST Liskeard, Tavistock teamed up with Newquay and they dominated the home team in the first half and put 37 points on the board. The teams were mixed in the second half to create a more balanced match.

Tavistock's forward aggression gave the backs plenty of possession. They in turn responded by superb support play, interweaving the ball into space to give speedy backs, Annabel Longden and Tulula, the opportunities to race past the defending back line to score.

In the forwards, the Upcott sisters, Alice and Kim, gave a show of strength and determination. They were outstanding in the loose, mopping up loose ball and closing down any forward surges from the opposition. Bronwyn Rundle in her return to the team gave us a reminder of her skill and determination in gaining possession in the maul..
