Tavistock men’s firsts 3

PGSOBs 2

THIS was a solid performance and three points against a competitive Plympton Grammar School Old Boys’ side.

Ollie Richards opened the scoring for Tavistock with a clever backhand deflection following clever link up play from Blonden and Stanbury.

Midway through the half, Richards doubled his and Tavistock’s goal tally with another clever deflection past the keeper.

The home side were showing patience when in possession of the ball and looking to create opportunities in front of goal but with only seconds of the first half remaining the visitors pulled a goal back from a penalty corner .

In the second half the goal hungry Richards appeared to have settled the game when he completed his hat-trick with his third backhand deflection of the game. However, Plympton GSOB kept pushing and were rewarded late on when they claimed their second goal of the game.

The home side maintained their discipline and attempted to slow the tempo of the game so they could hold on to the three points.
