Tavistock U8s 16 tries

AS the first half wore on the Tavistock boys rediscovered their slick passing and their supporting play to take the lead at half time. 

After the interval Tavistock took control and achieved a number of turnovers. Captain Jared Hunter showed leadership and scored two tries while player of the match was Joe Wheeldon with 10 tries. 

In the second game Sharks edged it producing some good rugby.  Despite having some tries disallowed Tavistock kept going to score some really good team tries and make good passing moves. 

Freddie Fuller was Tavistock's player of the match who scored twice. Other try scorers were Liam Watt 6, Jonathan Griffiths and Alex Richardson 3, Max Jordan 2, and Billy Wilkinson, Ollie Pett, Ollie Carty and Henry Nettleship.

IT was end to end stuff as Stonehouse took their chances to race into an early lead. Determined play and improved handling from Tavistock led to tries from Christopher, Billy, Matthew B, Callum and a second for Matthew B.

On the stroke of half time, Tavistock took the lead with Matthew D carving through the Stonehouse defence for a fine try to go 6-5 up.

Tavistock dominated the second half with some fine defensive tagging and searing individual runs from deep to score. Max, Billy, Christopher and Matthew B all added their names to the score sheet with Max, Billy and Matthew B completing hat-tricks.

THE teams traded tries in the early stages but again, Tavistock's superior speed and passing on the run won through with tries from Matthew D (2), Max, Luke, Christopher and Dylan.
