THE Tamar Valley Pool League held their annual presentation evening on Saturday at the Duke of York in Tavistock.

The evening’s proceedings were opened by league chairman Darren Bishop, league secretary Matthew Miller with Richard Eales acting as compere. Trophies were awarded for various categories of individual and team competitions which had attracted more than 200 players over the season. The evening concluded with the Premier Division winners, who were the Duke of York’s own Yorkie Wanderers who successfully defended their title.

The league, sponsored by Rocket Removals, is now looking forward to the start of their new season which starts on October 14 and will be played on Monday evenings in several local venues.
