THERE was only one division one match of the Okehampton and District Table Tennis League this week — a two man Bridestowe team against The Mixtures.

Mark Fogerty put Bridestowe 2-0 ahead and went on to win all their singles and the doubles for a 7-3 win. In the last singles Mark Fogerty just beat Karen Stephenson 13-11 in the third leg.

This win keeps Bridestowe in second place in the league table with two games in hand over league leaders Tavistock.

In division two league leaders Okehampton C thrashed Moretonhampstead 10-0 with only one game going to three legs. With only one game to go they already have 102 points. Second placed Anchorage B with 74 points have two games in hand.

In the last division two match Gunnislake were at home to Horrabridge B. Jack Flockton put Gunnislake 1-0 ahead against David Stewart. In the next Jill Northey beat Michael Alexander in a hard fought five leg game just winning 12-10 in the fifth to level at 1-1.

Gunnislake then stepped up a gear winning the next seven singles and the doubles for a 9-1 win. Jill had another five leg game against Michael Kinger just losing 12-10 in the fifth; Lesley Coleman also lost in the fifth leg against Michael Alexander.
