GREAT success for three youngsters from the Jujitsu Tavistock Club who recently went all out in front of a grading panel headed by Umberto Bergonzini sensei, fourth degree black belt. The standard proved to be exceptionally high once again and the grading panel was pleased by the performance and character demonstrated by everyone. Connor Baker, Joseph Mulroy and Luca Bergonzini were promoted to 1st kyu, which is represented by brown belt 3 tabs. They are now only a belt away from the coveted black belt. The three youngsters, aged 13 and 14, started jujitsu when Jujitsu Tavistock first launched the junior classes back in 2006. Anyone is welcome to try jujitsu. During September, all clubs will be running beginners' courses. The first month is free. Contact Umberto on 07866 720361 for more information or visit http://www.jujitsu.uk.com">www.jujitsu.uk.com or attend one of the classes which take place in Launceston, Tavistock and Tamerton Foliot in Plymouth.
