Okehampton ladies seconds 2

ISCA ladies fifths 4

ON a cold, snowy Saturday afternoon Okehampton started well with strong passes between Viv Weatherington, Hannah Whitely and Holly Davidson. However, ISCA were strong and pushed forward to test the home defence - trying the skills of Jennie Humphrys and Sandy Douglas who denied ISCA goal attempts.

The ball was moved well out of the Oke defence by Jane Jones to forward Winnie Rademaker who made a run into an attacking area; the ball came loose for Rochelle Hillier to make an attempt at goal but was denied.

The first half saw a powerful ISCA side be awarded penalty corners, scoring three goals in short succession from loose balls in the area.

The second half showed more promise for Okehampton, interrupting the play for ISCA. Okehampton dominated this half. Drives from Winnie and Lotte Rademaker into the D saw the first goal be set up for Weatherington.

Oke pushed on with determination to equalise the score line. They were then awarded a penalty corner which Lotte Rademaker hit at goal and blocked by the goal keeper, only for Weatherington to pounce for her second of the game.

Oke played superbly against a good ISCA team who they lost against 7-0 earlier this season. Okehampton player of the match was Winnie Rademaker.
