TAVISTOCK Squash Team played two more games last month and won two victories. The team played at home against University Students 2. Tavistock were represented by Steve Tripp, Stuart Cox, Nigel Eadie, Andy Howell and Richard Bache. This proved a close contest with students having won the previous match but Tavistock came out 3-2 winners with Steve, Andy and Richard all winning their games. Man of the match was Richard Bache who was playing his first game of the season. Away against Construction Services Tavistock were represented by Steve Tripp, Clive Marais, Stuart Cox, Andy Howell and Paul Trueman. Having lost the previous match Tavistock needed to play well to win. Clive, Andy and Paul all won their games leading to a 3-2 win for Tavistock. Man of the match was given to Andy Howell for his convincing 3-0 win. n Tavistock Squash and Racketball Club held their monthly club night competition on April 14. This month it was a racketball team event with three teams all trying to secure as many points as possible for their team. Congratulations go to Chris Jenkins, Maggie Lilley and Jack Eadie who won the competition. After plenty of close action and some great rallies the winning team beat Simon Powell, Patrick Powell and Scott Fallen into second place, by six points. Jack and Maggie both gained maximum points for their team, with Patrick doing the same for his team. Next month it will be the quarterly handicapped tournament.
