SATURDAY was the second anniversary of the Tamar Trails Parkrun at Gulworthy and Halloween gave many of us an excuse for dressing up for the occasion.

As usual the run attracted the very young and very senior runners and the last one round now has the record for the longest time of 1 hour 04 minutes.

Organiser Andy Houghton said: ‘We celebrated this because no one likes to come last and it shows that anyone thinking they might take this long does not need to feel embarrassed. We definitely need more people taking over 40 minutes to keep the marshals on their toes! This record is about four times that of the male course record (16.04) but why worry about that. Tamar Trails Park Run happens every Saturday at 9am and is free to enter.’
