TAVISTOCK Sir Francis Drake Bowling Club ladies' captain Ann Brown presented a cheque at the clubhouse for £600 to Lesley-Ann Simpson of the Chestnut Appeal for Prostrate Cancer.

The money had been raised during the Centennial 2014 bowls season with proceeds of raffles from ladies' matches,  the club's charity day and 'fines' instigated during the club recent tour to Weymouth.
