KELLY College pupil Siân Temple travelled to London to compete in the London Mini Marathon.

Siân ran a superb race and finished 12th out of 297 competitors in the U13 category. This meant that she was the highest placed female athlete from South West England.

It was a huge achievement and one Siân is keen to build on. She is now looking forward to qualifying for next year's event.

Held on the same day as the full marathon, the London Mini Marathon is the official UK road running championships for young athletes aged between 11 and 17.

The course is three miles long, stretching from London's Old Billingsgate to The Mall and previous winners include double Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah.
