The race was in its eighteenth year and the hills and miles still did not disappoint – one of the toughest road races in the area.
Almost 400 runners took part – with the race being part of the Armada Athletics Grand Prix and also the Cornish Grand Prix.
Running almost a minute and half quicker than last year Neil Barkell from Tavistock took third place overall in 40 minutes 04 seconds – exceptional running for the seven mile course.
Next in for Tavistock club was Martin Exley-Deane in 19th overall, and comfortably picking up another first place for his category (44.11). Peter Bazley finished in 92nd in 51.59 seconds and Becca Exley-Deane was next home in 218th and just outside the hour in 1.03.04 .
