ON  a cold, crisp day last Thursday schools from the Tavistock and District Learning Community took part in a netball tournament at Tavistock College.

Seven schools took part in the large school tournament and eight in the small schools tournament.  

The large schools tournament was won by Whitchurch Primary School with Bickleigh Down coming second and Tavistock third, In the small schools the winners were Lady Modiford School in Walkhampton, with Lamerton second and Milton Abbot third.

Organisers said a big thank you to Tavistock College for letting their courts be used and to their pupils for helping out with the umpiring.
