A VERY strong Okehampton team turned up to give the Tavistock outfit a good friendly derby match. 

Tavistock started well keeping the ball and making good ground. After sustained pressure Chris Watts put a delightful kick through to set up Nick Lane for Tavistock’s only try of the game.

Okehampton hit back with some very strong running and good interplay, scoring two tries in quick succession. Tavistock were unlucky not add to their total with some strong scrummaging from Phillips, Tom Wood and Joe Hair, which lead to Andrew Griffiths going over only to be judged as held up. 

The second half saw Okehampton coming down the hill at a strong Tavistock defence led by Pete Davis.

The Okehampton attack proved too strong for Tavistock, leading to three second half tries for the visitors.

Both teams had positives to draw from the match, with a comfortable scoreline for Okehampton, while Tavistock had players successfully returning from injury and also new players make their debut for the home side.
