A GROUP of 12 people from the Tavistock area pushed the limits on Saturday during one of the trickiest and muddiest obstacle courses in the country.

The Rock Solid Race in Exeter saw challengers compete in either a 5km, 10km or 15km track covered with obstacles, from stepping stones, climbing walls, ice buckets, balance beans and water slides.

Every single member of the NL Fitness team crossed the 10km finishing line — albeit rather muddy and colder than when they began — delighted with what they had achieved.

Two members of the team, Chad Brading and Melissa Tilley, bulldozed their way to the finish and came a staggering 57th and 58th out of 1,273 competitors.

The last mile of the course — 'The Green Mile' — saw competitors timed at the start and finish of the mile and then everyone's time was placed on the results' website. NL Fitness team mate Jason Clancy managed a breathtaking 7mins 30secs and came 25th out of 1,269.
