TAVISTOCK junior triathlete Pete Jarman, 15, took part in a sprint triathlon and a 25m time trial cycle race.  

The first event was the sprint triathlon held at Roadford Lake, nr Okehampton. It started with a 750m open water swim in Roadford Lake followed by a run and on to the bike for the 20k cycle  road race.  This was the followed by a 5k off road run.  Pete had a great race winning the event in a time of 1hr 16.49 mins. The following day Pete competed in the Yogi 25m tt cycle race which saw Pete cycling at great speed from Mary Tavy to Fowley Cross, Okehampton and back to the finish line near Tavistock.  

Pete competed on behalf of Tavistock Wheelers Cycle Club and finished in a time of 1.16.03 and was the youngest competitor to take part.
