A TEENAGE swimmer from Yelverton has struck gold at the British Gas national swimming youth championships.
Reece Worth was part of the Plymouth Leander swimming club's winning 4 x 4 individual medley team in the aged 17/18 category to win gold at Ponds Forge, Sheffield earlier this month. Reece, 17, who attends Devonport High School for Boys in Plymouth, also achieved two other personal bests while competing in the national championships.
The talented young swimmer was also fifth in the two kilometre open water swim at the Nationals at Sheffield.
Reece also achieved second place out of 400 other swimmers in the 10k open water event at Dorney Lake, Eton College.
