Okehampton ladies' seconds 1
Sidmouth and Ottery ladies' fourths 0
THIS was a tense match for the home side with Okehampton having met and been defeated by Sidmouth and Ottery ladies earlier on in the season.
Nonetheless the Oke ladies were determined to win. Their captain Rochelle Hillier aligned her side to neutralise Sidmouth and Ottery's two key strikers which proved most effective.
New to defensive duties Anna Speak for Oke played superbly and showed great promise in that position; Lottie Rademaker played some good passes to sister Annebelle and Rachel Adams to keep the visitors on the back foot.
Okehampton ladies continued to apply pressure in the second half.
Ailsa Gibb pushed up the pitch to keep the ball in the attacking half, while Louise Weller worked tirelessly to keep the ball in Okehampton's possession.
Eventually after being awarded a penalty corner, Lottie Rademaker sent the ball flying into the goal to put Oke ahead.
Okehampton ladies were now flying with Viv Weatherington and Sophia Marshall playing the ball repeatedly into the D to set up chances for Oke which the visitors repelled.
This was a deserved win for Okehampton. Oke's player of the match went to Sandy Douglas for her crucial tackles.
