WITHIN five minutes of the first half Truro put one in the back of the goal with some great running by their forward. Not to be disheartened Okehampton responded with some great running play by captain Brett Lawson; he passed to Mark Parsons, who, full of composure, took the ball round the keeper to equalise.

After some great tackling at the  back by Rob Hall and Alex Osman, Oke were able to push up the pitch and through some excellent midfield play by Joff Stephens and Jake Lloyd Oke won several short corners but were unable to convert.

Oke kept on pushing and from a great tackle in the box by Oke man of the match Jack Watson, he slotted the ball under the keeper’s foot to make it 2-1.

Okehampton kept pressing and were awarded a short corner for their efforts; excellent passing play by Mark Parsons to Jack Watson resulted in the ball in the net but the goal was disallowed as the ball went in above the backboard.

Truro were next to score, despite the best efforts of Oke keeper Hayden Bond; the rallied Oke side kept pushing but were unable to convert by the half time whistle.

During the interval Oke reshuffled at the back with Andy Strong moving into the back four, Alex Osman out on the right and Ross Davidson moving into the middle alongside Joff Stephens.

Okehampton pushed hard and an excellent pass from Ross Davidson to Mark Parsons, saw his reverse hit go into the bottom corner for 3-2. Hayden Bond made some great saves and it looked like Oke could keep the lead but Truro eventually hit an equaliser.

Oke won a few more short corners but were unable to convert them. With five minutes to go Oke pushed harder and with a lucky break, Jack Watson pounced on a loose ball in the box to hit it towards the goal; the ball ricocheted off a Truro foot and was looping towards the far corner. The celebration started but unfortunately for Oke the umpire had already blown for a short corner, so the goal was disallowed.
