PRIMARY schools from Okehampton, South Tawton, Lydford, Boasley Cross, Bridestowe, Exbourne and Hatherleigh take part in the Okehampton area schools' sports hall athletics competition.

There were some strong individual performances. Leon Biaggo of Okehampton School won the boys standing long jump, chest push and vertical jump with scores of 1.85m, 6.5m and 45cm respectively. Katie Chapman of Exbourne took victory in the girls speed bounce, chest push and vertical Jump with 58, 7.5 and 50.

Vinnie Dawson of Hatherleigh topped the boys speed bounce table with 57 and Evie Cunningham of South Tawton and Izzy Shayler of Okehampton shared glory in the girls standing long jump with jumps of 1.70m.

The relays were dominated by Okehampton with their A team winning the boys 2x2 laps, six lap parlauf, 4x1 lap and the obstacle race. Okehampton girls also picked up the 4x1 lap and obstacle race. South Tawton boys and girls won the 2x1 lap and the girls won the 2x2 laps. Exbourne girls won the six lap Parlauf.

Okehampton A won the overall event with 275 points followed by South Tawton on 256, Exbourne with 235 and Okehampton B who scored 232.

These four teams go through to the West Devon finals, hosted by Tavistock College, on January 19. They will be joined by St Andrew's, Whitchurch, Tavistock and Lamerton Primary schools who topped the Tavistock area event.
