THE Lamerton Point to Point will be held at Kilworthy, Tavistock, on Sunday. Kilworthy is on the A386 Tavistock to Okehampton road and the course will be clearly signposted.
The course is in excellent condition, two fences have been rebuilt and the annual event is expecting excellent racing and jumping.
Roger Jennings said on behalf of the organisers: 'We have a good number of declared runners and the maiden race has been split, giving seven races with the first starting at 1pm.
'Many leading point to point owners are entered and the members' race should be more exciting than normal with ten entered.
'The entry track has been regraded giving improved access for cars and there will also be a presentation to Mr Reed Dawe, who has been involved with the Lamerton Point to Point since 1946 and is still our clerk of the scales.'
Kilworthy remains an excellent viewing course for spectators and, together with trade stands, hot and cold refreshments and bar it continues to be an exciting day out for all the family. Entry is £10 for a car and driver and £5 for any other passengers.
Enquires to 01822 860253.
