A NEW record was set at Tavistock Golf Club when 150 members took part in the annual President's Day.
Always a popular event, the players enjoyed ideal golfing weather on a course that was in superb condition.
Junior Will Caulfield scored a magnificent 50 points to take the top junior prize with runner-up Will Stenhouse on 39 points.
Paul Hall was the men's top scorer with 46 points and runner-up was Adam Bridgewater with 45 points — Adam made his day by having a hole-in-one!
Kate Harding was the leading lady with 41 points and runner-up was Jane Hoskin, on countback from Sybil Cole, with 38 points.
Club president Dennis Greening said: 'I am delighted with the turn out. The wonderful weather and the great golf that was played makes this President's Day one of the best ever.'
The Ladies' Still Cup team continued their winning run when they had an overall win of 6-1 against RND in the Still semi-finals played at Honiton.
The final will be against Exeter at Thurlestone on 26th September.
