TAVISTOCK Swim-ming Club had 11 members competing at the recent Plymouth Leander gala which took place at the Plymouth Life Centre. 

This was a top level gala which drew competitors from swimming clubs from a wide area, with many seeking to gain national swimming qualifying times. It was great to see so many members from Tavistock SC competing and doing extremely well.

Tavistock members participating were Emily France, Jake France, Alex Francis, Amber Francis, Thanae Garland-Tsirka, Cameron McGurk, Alfie Morgan, Peter Ray, Nathaniel Rookes, Sarah Teague and Hannah Walker.

Across the events, they managed to secure 30 personal best times, with 14 of these resulting in club record times.

Organisers said well done to all those that took part and on the excellent achievements.
