OKEHAMPTON Smallbore Club was delighted to welcome a 2012 Paralympian among more than 40 shooters from all over the South West at their open meeting at the weekend.

The winner of the LSR Class A was Mark Rickard of the Yealmpton Club who scored 596 out of 600. Class C was won Matt Cockram of the Fonthill Club.

In the 10m air pistol, Paralympian Adrian Bunclark from Budleigh Target Shooters Centre, won Class A with Bernard Rendle from the OSC second in Class C; Bernard was also second in the sport pistol Class B.

Amanda Etherton, a spokesperson for Okehampton Smallbore Club, thanked the many volunteers from the OSC who helped the club ensure the competition ran smoothly over the weekend and especially organiser Yvonne Rendle.
