OCRA Trampoline Club came away with four medals from the Griffin Trampoline competition in Street in Somerset.
It was a busy competition with a friendly atmosphere. The trampolines were top level six times fours and fours times fours, so the OCRA youngsters did well to adjust to the bouncier trampolines with only three or four practice warm ups.
In her first competition, Bethan Honey won the gold medal in the U11s award 6 class, with Alice Smith taking silver. Elise Boucher gave two steady performances in the U9s award 6 to come seventh.
Sophie Wyer and Cerys Eyre both did well in the CDG1 11 plus and U11 classes, coming third and fourth respectively. Bethany Watts performed two good routines in the CDG2 grade to come fourth, with an unlucky extra skill at the end of her second routine costing her a medal.
Angus Bond secured the gold medal in the NDP4 class, with two excellent performances.
The club trains on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at Okehampton College. Some of its trampolinists will be competing at regional level competitions in January.
The club currently has 50 people on its waiting list, and is raising money for competition equipment.
