IN the Okehampton Netball League Bluebirds overcame Sparks 30-25. With nothing to choose between the teams this looked like it would be a close match from the start and could go either way. With goals going with centre at the end of the first quarter sparks were just in the lead by one goal. Still playing end to end Bluebirds edged ahead to take the second quarter. This seemed to give Bluebirds the confidence to really push Sparks and they capitalised on their lead to end the third quarter by three goals. Sparks battled on and despite some great shooting they just could not get close enough to Bluebirds to take the match. Holding on to their lead Bluebirds won the match by five goals.
