OKEHAMPTON started the first half with Dart dominating the home side. Daisy Morgan, though, kept control of the Oke defence and performed some flawless airborne saves.

Oke’s defence of Nicola Bennie and Rachel Hammett worked effortlessly together to get the ball to out to the midfield who fought hard to keep the ball. Dart made a run towards but Okehampton’s right back Debbie Pritchard stopped them in their tracks and passed the ball to Alex Collins, who took a shot at goal which deflected across the goal to Sophia Marshall to tap into the back of the goal.

Dart had a quick breakthrough the Okehampton defence and slipped a goal into the net. Oke fought hard with midfielders Lucy Wiseman, Emma Wiseman and Elsa Frangleton working in harmony to release the ball up the pitch. Nicola Strawbridge picked up the ball and run passed countless Dart players to score a beautiful goal.

In the second half Okehampton started well edging the ball up the pitch fighting hard to keep possession. After a quick break from Oke Alex Collins steamed down the right hand side of the pitch to smack the ball into Rochelle at the top of the D, who used her intuitive skill to outwit the keeper and tuck the ball in behind.

Dart fought hard and scored a goal past Okehampton following a minor slip by the keeper. Swift skills from Carol Taylor got passed Darts’ midfield and onto Zoe Curtis, who used her speed and agility to move the ball around the team.

In the final minute Dart were awarded a short corner and made some powerful attempts at a goal but Okehampton’s superbly strong defence and Daisy Morgan’s powerful kick meant they were not successful leaving Okehampton with a well deserved 3-2 win keeping them at the top of the league.
