Okehampton Ladies A v Bovey Tracey

JACKIE Jarvis and Angela Herod-Taylor started well and took the first set with ease 6-0.

With Angela rallying with precision from the back of the court and putting the opposition under pressure, Jackie was able to volley away winners at the net. They continued to dominate and took the second set 6-0.

In their second match it was a similar story, they took the first 6-0, but then the opposition took advantage of a few errors to win a couple of games. Jackie and Angela went on to win 6-2.

Kath Bolt and Penny Holman, playing as the Okehampton second couple, had problems finding any rhythm and lost the first match in straight sets. Kath, suffering from a knee injury, gallantly played on in the second match but the opposition proved to be too strong and they lost 2-6, 1-6.

This fixture resulted in a 4-4 draw. Okehampton remain in second place in Division 5.
