Okehampton Judo Club students make good progress through the British Judo Council Syllabus at BJC gradings, demonstrating technical ability, Judo etiquette as well as attack and defence fighting skills.
Club grading: Primaries (U10s) Hannah Harbron (2 red tabs). Juniors (U16s) Alfie Budd (orange belt three green tabs), Sam Cawse and Ben Bowles (yellow belt two orange), Angus Belamy and Caleb Bourne (yellow belt 1 orange), Harriet Hawkins, Thomas and Edward Thistleton-Dyer (yellow belt), Henry Harbron (white belt 3 yellow tabs), Jay Ratcliffe, Holly Harbron and Sam Drew (white belt 2 yellow), Reuben Bourne, Corey Friend and Reuben Wren (white belt 1 yellow).
Devon area grading: juniors (U16s) Alfie Budd (green belt). Seniors, Nicki Budd fourth kyu (orange belt).
National grading: Seniors, Aidan Bostock first Kyu (brown belt) fought through two pools winning six fights all by Ippon and demonstrated the complete Nage no Kata and Katame no Kata. Sensei Darren Bostock thanks all club coaches for their help with the club grading.
