IN division one of the Okehampton and District Table Tennis League Okehampton D played club rivals Okehampton A.

Roni Galordo playing as a reserve for the A side, won the first against Sarah Jackson 11-8 in the fifth. Luke Bennett levelled at 1-1 against John Squire and Mari Baldwin did well to beat Steve Madge, taking the fifth 11-9. Mari went on to complete her maximum and helped Oke D to a 6-4 win.

Tavistock were at home to North Wyke. Angharad Beman won the first against Enrique Cancer-Berroya in a hard fought 11-9, 10-12, 7-11, 11-8, 11-9 and went on to complete her maximum as did Nick Davis and Peter Hicks for a convincing 10-0 win for Tavistock.

The young Okehampton C team were at home to Anchorage A. In what proved to be a tight match, Cameron Brooking and Josh Parsons took two each for the Oke side and Zoe Bennett scored against Colin Jones. Malcolm Hopkins did well to score two for Anchorage with team mates Jones and Dave Vanstone taking one each. Okehampton won the doubles in straight sets for a final 6-4 win.

In division two, Okehampton E were at home to Horrabridge A. The team of Alfie East, Lauren Loosemore and Roni Galordo proved too good for Horrabridge and went on to win 10-0. Gill Northey did well to take Galordo to a fifth leg, just losing out 11-6.

Okehampton G played Gunnislake A with Mike Kinger and Jack Flockton both scoring maximums for Gunnislake. Tom Chastey and Will Ash both did well to beat Michael Alexander but could not stop Kinger and Flockton in the doubles for an eventual 8-2 win for Gunnislake.

Horrabridge B tried their luck against the in form Gunnislake team. The match saw Kinger and Flockton again scoring fine maximums and reserve Ptolemy Beman taking two, with Alex Cunningham saving the whitewash against Beman.

Also in division two Moretonhampstead played Okehampton F. Young Jude Shea did well to beat Frank Cockburn 12-10 in the fifth to put Moreton ahead and he went on to score a fine maximum. Connor Madge beat James May to level for the Oke side before Ken Underhill beat Tom Madge to put Moreton back in front. Cockburn replied by beating James May. Moreton then took the next three singles before Cockburn beat Underhill in a close five leg match and joined Connor Madge to win the doubles against May and Underhill resulting in a final 6-4 win for the Moretonhampstead side.
