IN the division one game this week Horrabridge A played Anchorage A.
Chloe Greenaway put Horrabridge 1-0 ahead in a hard fought fourth leg win against Colin Brooker. John Stewart won the next in five legs against Malcolm Hopkins to put Horrabridge 2-0 ahead and went on to complete a fine maximum.
Colin Jones pulled one back for Anchorage against Callum Sherrell. Colin did well to beat Chloe 12-10 in the third leg but had to fight hard to beat Callum in four legs to level at 4-4. Chloe won the last single against Malcolm and joined John to win the doubles for a 6-4 win for Horrabridge.
In the next match Anchorage A were at home against the league leaders Tavistock, who completed their third 10-0 win to keep them 14 points clear of second placed Milton Abbot. In the third singles, Colin Jones took Nigel Cildart all the way, with Nigel just winning 10-12, 12-14, 11-9, 11-9 and 6-11.
In the last division one match, Milton Abbot were at home to Horrabridge A. A strong Milton Abbot raced into an 8-0 lead before John Stewart saved the whitewash when he beat Ian Osborne in four legs. There were maximums for Ottilia Pochat and Tim Westcott. Ottilia and Tim won the doubles against Chloe and John for a 9-1 win for Milton Abbot.
In the only division two result Okehampton C played Gunnislake A. Again Okehampton raced into a 3-0 lead before Mike Kinger saved the whitewash. Mike beat Emily Haskell for 8-1. Emily and Cam Brooking won the doubles against Michael Alexander for the 9-1 win for Okehampton C to keep them 19 points ahead of second place Anchorage B.
