OKEHAMPTON A men (pictured in purple shirts), searching for their first points of the season, faced an experienced table topping Old Plymouth Mannameadians side.

OPM?took the lead midway through the first half have and looked set to dominate the game. A quick break away from Oke winger Jacob Jones crossed and early ball into the D for Luxton to tap home for the equaliser.

At half time captain Tim Morgan encouraged his young side and soon they found themselves with a two goal advantage.

A cool strike from Jeff Stephens and another for Luxton put the home side 3-1 up with just under 10 minutes to play. However OPM’s showed why they were sitting on top of the league and soon they had pulled a goal back.

As the game drew to a close OPM’s were awarded a penalty corner and despite the valiant effort‘s from the Okehampton defence the visitors scrambled the ball over the line.

The home side left the field disappointed having let the game slip, however a point against the league leaders is a great foundation to build from.
