PGSOB C 0
Okehampton A 10
THIS weekend Okehampton travelled to Plymouth to face a Plymouth Grammar School Old Boys' side. The last time these two sides met Oke won 6-0 but the home side had been picking up full points and moving on up the league.
With the away side missing some key players and no substitutes, Oke had concerns going into this game. This was all about to change within three minutes the first of six goals was scored by Chris Luxton. This set the trend as Okehampton not only scored another goal but a further seven (four goals from Luxton, two from Jake Lloyd and one from Stuart Jarvis) taking them into half time 8-0 up.
After the half time break PGSOB did play some skilled hockey and created some good chances through several short corners - none of which broke down the Oke defence or keeper Ebby Valance.
The flurry of goals eased off in the second half but Luxton and captain Brett Lawson struck in a further two goals.
Luxton obtained an injury in the last ten minutes which left only 10 men on the pitch but nevertheless the game finished at an outstanding 10-0.
Okehampton keep up their 100% record currently sitting at the top of the table with a six point difference.
