IN division one of the Okehampton and District Table Tennis League, league leaders Tavistock were at home to Anchorage A.
Tavistock raced into a 10-0 lead to take them to 97 points — 37 points ahead of second placed Bridestowe who have two games in hand.
In the next match Horrabridge A were at home to Milton Abbot who raced into a 4-0 lead. Ottila Pochat beat John Stewart and Chloe Green away.
Tim Westcott just beat Chloe while new player Alexandru Lenesu and John Stewart pulled one back for Horrabridge. Milton Abbot won the next three. John Stewart won his last singles against Tim and joined Bob Newcome in the doubles for a 7-3 win for Milton Abbot.
Ottila won all her singles ably supported by Tim and Alexandru with two singles each.
The next match saw North Wyke A playing the Mixtures in a hard fought match. North Wyke won 6-4 thanks to Tom Misselbrook playing his first match of the season scoring a fine maximum, ably supported by Enrique Cancer Barrota with two and helped Tom in the doubles beating Karan Stephenson and Sarah Jackson. Karan won two singles. Sarah and Ronie Gallardo had one each.
In division two leaders Okehampton C had another 10-0 win as in the first half against club rivals Okehampton B and followed up with a 9-1 win against Gunnislake. Michael Kinger beat Josh Parsons in the third leg to put Gunnislake 1-0 ahead.
Then Okehampton stepped up a gear winning the next eight singles and the doubles for the 9-1 win. Emily Haskell and Camoron Brooking both scored maximums.
In the last division two match second-placed Anchorage B kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 10-0 win over the young side of Horrabridge who did well against the more experienceds players.
