TAVISTOCK Athletic Club's athlete of the month is Sarah Aspen.

Sarah first joined the club 12 years ago, when her children were members of the junior section.

Recently returned to running after an 18 month break, Sarah says that she finds TAC to be friendly and supportive, without too much pressure, and that she notices improved fitness and feels better when she attends regularly.

She competed in the Ivybridge 10k road race, finishing in 1hour, 47seconds. Eight years ago this had been her first race.

Sarah is a member of the Pavey group under the leadership of Lorraine Tofield and Sally Lipscombe, and is valued for her quiet humour and unwillingness to complain — whatever the weather!
