THE Mayor and Mayoress of Tavistock, Councillor Philip Sanders and Dr Hilary Sanders, were welcomed by members at the opening of the new season for Tavistock Sir Francis Drake Bowls Club on Saturday (pictured).  They were greeted by the club vice president, Roger Bawden and club chairman Sue Silcox.

The mayor bowled the first bowl to officially start the season.

The club has a very busy season ahead and are always looking for players. There are two taster sessions for people interested in playing. The first sessions are on Sunday from 10am to noon or 2pm-4pm.

 The second sessions are on Sunday, May 6 from 10am to noon or 2pm-4pm.
