GUNNISLAKE Cricket Club are bowled over after receiving a sponsorship boost from communication provider TalkTalk.

The donation from TalkTalk will be used to upgrade the existing practice nets and matting to improve the quality of training.

The cricket club's secretary Mike Hugo said: 'TalkTalk have made a generous donation to Gunnislake Cricket Club. Providing excellent training facilities is key to our club's success and we will be working hard towards the 2011/2012 season.

TalkTalk will also be investing £50,000 in technology to bring reliable high speed broadband to Gunnislake and surrounding areas.

TalkTalk commercial director Tristia Clarke said: 'Investing in the local area allows us to bring our great value offers to even more families in the area and we are proud to be supporting Gunnislake Cricket Club.'

The cricket club has players between the ages of 13 to 60. It welcomes anyone interested in the sport, giving them the opportunity to play regular cricket and enjoy the exercise.
