MOUNT Kelly Swimming members continued their top form at the English Schools' Regional Relay Championships last week in Somerset. The championships at Millfield act as the qualifying event for the national finals in November, which this year will be held at the London Aquatic Centre. All of the Mount Kelly A teams were placed in the top three positions in every event, with the B and C teams consistently outperforming their contemporaries at the other high performing swimming schools. The results of the A team are as follows: Junior girls' freestyle, third; junior girls' medley, third; intermediate boys' freestyle, second; intermediate boys' medley, second; intermediate girls' freestyle, second; intermediate girls' medley, third; senior boys' freestyle, third; senior boys' medley, first; senior girls' freestyle, second; senior girls' medley, second.  The highlight of the day came in the senior boys' medley relay when the team from Mount Kelly consisting of Ben Staig, Donovan McAntagart, Nikita Ivanov and Julian Chan Quee Lin beat teams from Millfield and Plymouth College by nearly two seconds. Mount Kelly Swimming will now await the results from the other regions before announcing the teams that have qualified for the ESSA National relay finals at the London Aquatics Centre.
