THE Mount House School equestrian team (pictured) represented Devon in the national finals of the 70cm show-jumping competition. The girls finished in sixth place in a strong field of 21 qualifying teams. Teams from all over the country had four riders, aged from 8 to 14 years. The finals were held at the Bury Farm Equestrian Centre at Slapton, near Leighton Buzzard in Buckinghamshire. The Mount House team was one of the youngest, with two members still only eight years old. The four girls – Milly Ridgers, Becky Manton, Eleanor Simpson and Clemmie Crosthwaite Eyre – each completed two rounds, one in an outdoor arena and the other over an indoor course, performing to a high standard throughout the event. The showjumping competitions are organised by the National Schools' Equestrian Association.
