IN division one of the Okehampton and district Table Tennis League the Mixtures were at home to Anchorage A.

Chloe Greenaway put The Mixtures 1-0 ahead against Colin Brooker. Dan Williams beat Malcolm Hopkins for 2-0 and Anchorage A levelled at 2-2. Colin Jones beat Sarah Jackson and Colin Brooker beat Dan.

Chloe won the next against Colin Jones and went on to win her last singles for her first maximum of the season to help her side to a 5-5 draw, ably supported by Dan Williams with two singles. He had to pull out all the stops to beat Colin Jones in his second, just winning in the fifth leg. Sarah took Colin Brooker to five legs, losing out in the fifth 11-5.

In division two, Okehampton C were at home to league leaders North Wyke. Okehampton played well in a hard-fought match. Xubo Zhang scored a fine maximum although Richard Rose took him to four legs in the first game.

Martin Rose just lost out in five legs to Enrique Cancer-Berroya in the next. Frank Cockburn saved the white in the next, beating Mark Tooth for 2-1 for North Wyke who won the next six singles and the doubles for a 9-1 win. Martin took Xubo and Mark to five legs.

Frank also took Xubo and Enrique to five legs. This was North Wyke's hardest win so far.

The next match Okehampton B were at home to Gunnislake, who won their first 10-0 result this season. Baz Wilson went down in four legs in the first game against Mike Alexander. In his second game, he fought hard against Mike Kinger, just losing out 10-12 in the fifth leg. Baz and Helen Howard and Mike Alexander and Mike Kinger went to five legs in the doubles.
