SIX members of the Mid Devon Hunt Pony Club competed at the junior/mini area tetrathlon at Okehampton last weekend.

The event was run by the Eggesford Club but the riding phase had to be cancelled because of all the rain.

All six posted personal bests in one or more phases, with Evelyn and Amelia Moody and Rob Bilton having personal bests in all three disciplines.

Simon Moody had a PB shoot and run, Laurie Bilton a PB in the run and his sister Kate had a great swim, scoring more than 1,000 points for the first time. Simon shot a superb score of 940 which won him a best shoot rosette. He finished third in his class.

Evelyn had the second best swim in her age group and came fourth individually while her sister Amelia finished fifth out of 20 competitors in the mixed mini class.

In the team competitions, Evelyn was part of a mixed team that came second in their class; Kate's team came second in the novice juniors and Rob and Amelia's team did superbly to win the mixed minis.
