TAVISTOCK played host to a young Ashmoor second team which proved to be another high scoring encounter.

The game started well for Tavistock, as they opened up the scoring with a fine drag flick to the top left hand corner from Tom Honey. 

Ashmoor were not deterred by this however and came straight back at Tavistock with a good counter attacking move that split the Tavistock defence. The game carried on with much of the same intensity, seeing continuous counter attacks from both teams. Tavistock however made the most of their's with Nick Andrews picking up a couple of goal poaching goals 12 inches from the Ashmoor goal line.

 The second half started slowly for Tavistock and with some sloppy defending, Ashmoor were let back into the game with a quick fire two goals to put them 4-3 up with 10 minutes of the game remaining. 

Tavistock at this point woke up from their slumber and started to play some flowing hockey going forward and with the experienced legs of Phil Honey in the midfield, Tavistock were looking dangerous down the right hand sight.

It took a quick fire two goals from Tom Honey to break the deadlock and give Tavistock the lead and Honey his hat trick for the game.
