OKEHAMPTON entertained Malvern in a friendly looking for a workout before the Devon League play offs and they were not disappointed.

The home side started the brighter and put Malvern under a lot of pressure and from one of their clearance kicks Ponsford caught a high ball and ran back through the defence passing to Toms, who ran down line to score.

Oke doubled the score after the forwards produced a good maul for Williams to break from the tail to score; this was also converted by Searle.

Okehampton's third try came as a result of a lineout on the Malvern 22 which was spun out for Searle to break through the defence for Pearce to score.

For the remainder of the half and also the majority of the second half Malvern took control of the game putting the Oke defence under constant pressure — resulting in them scoring two quick tries after two or three missed tackles.

Near the end Oke came back to pressurise the Malvern defence resulting in a try worked from the back of a ruck out down the line for Nasher to score bringing an end to an enjoyable game.
