LEW Trenchard Primary School took part in a small schools cricket tournament at Lewdown Cricket Club.

The weather was excellent and each team played six matches in glorious sunshine. Other teams came from Lydford, Lifton and Boasley Cross.

After a number of exciting games Lew Trenchard 'A' finished as unbeaten winners and Lifton 'A' were a close second. Both teams will now progress into the Dartmoor Cup final which takes place towards the end of the month.

Tim Woodward, headteacher of Lew Trenchard, said: 'A big thank you must go to Lewdown Cricket Club for organising the competition and for providing the umpires and facilities.'
